The Role of a Governor

Conduct the school with a view to promoting high standards of education achievement.

School improvement (Raising Standards) is at the heart and the purpose of school governance.

The law also tells us that as Governors we have three strands to our role.

To Provide a Strategic view

To Act as a Critical Friend

To Ensure Accountability

The Governing Body of St Jude's C of E Infant School are required to declare an interest in any business that provides goods or services to the trust and governorships including at other educational institutions and charities irrespective of whether there is a trading relationship with the trust.
